The Apple Pencil Pro is better to draw with than other pencils

How much do you need to upgrade to a new iPad? The Good News for Apple Pencil Procrases and Procreate Dreams

Know what’s worse? Think again, if you thought you could upgrade to a new iPad from an older iPad and use the Apple Pencil, you’re wrong. The new iPad Air and iPad Pro tablets only work with the new Apple Pencil and the new Apple Pencil Pro, which came out last year. So if you are an avid Pencil user and want one of the new slates, you probably have to buy a new Apple Pencil.

App developers can also create their own custom interactions for the Apple Pencil Pro. James Cuda, CEO of Procreate, has provided examples of brushes that respond in entirely new ways using the Barrel Roll or squeeze features. The animation feature in Procreate Dreams allows for simultaneous movement and rotation of objects while recording actions.

Adding support for Apple’s Find My device location system is also a welcome update for scatterbrained users who frequently lose their stylus. It is difficult to misplace a slim, pencil-shaped device, and I know how hard it is to find a replacement Apple Pencil months later, when you have already torn apart your home.

The New iPad Air and iPad Pro: Pricing, Upgrades, and Anomaly Detection Before You Leave the Loose

The Final Cut Camera is built to allow for live multicamera production. The update to Final Cut Pro app makes it possible for users to connect multiple phones to capture additional angles during a live shoot or record professional video.

These are not iterative updates. Apple has added a new display to the iPad Pro, as well as a new M4 chip. Both the 11- and 13-inch Air models are now in the lineup. Combine that with support for most of the same accessories — including the new Apple Pencil Pro — and you now have even more options to consider if you need a big tablet for work or play.

The basics are what we will start with. Pricing is the most obvious differentiator between the new iPad Pro and iPad Air. The 11- and 13-inch iPad Airs start at $599 and $799, respectively, with the cellular models starting at $749 and $949. They both offer double the base storage of the model, but you can have it configured for more than one ton of storage.

Along with improved CPU performance, the M4 model delivers a more powerful Neural Engine that Apple says is 60 times faster than the first one it introduced in the A11 Bionic model in 2017. It’s also capable of 38 trillion operators per second (TOPS), which refers to the number of math calculations it can solve per second. Again, we’ve yet to put the tablet through its paces, but that number is still less than Qualcomm’s impressive Snapdragon X Elite’s 45 TOPS chip, which is coming to Windows laptops soon.

Those are just some of the most notable differences between the forthcoming iPad Air and iPad Pro. The table below shows all the relevant specifications for the last-gen iPad Air and iPad Pro.

Additionally, Apple revealed new AI-powered features for its digital audio workstation, Logic Pro, including a new virtual bass player and keyboard player.

Apple just wrapped up its “Let Loose” event, where it showed off the newest additions to its iPad lineup in nearly two years. The event also included refreshed accessories and an update to the software.

Which iPad is the Most Sense for You? An Anomaly-Informed Comparison of Two High-Performance Gaming Tablets

To help you decide which tablet makes the most sense for you, we’ve compared the raw specs of both and highlighted the main differences so you can make an informed decision. We will soon publish our full reviews of both tablets, so be sure to check back.

The new iPad Pro comes with hardware-accelrated ray tracing and mesh shading, which can help game developers improve complex scenes. The M4 chip brings support for Dynamic Caching tech to the iPad for the first time, too, which boosts the performance of professional apps and games by optimizing how much memory the tablet uses for each task.

I don’t think the M2 chip inside the upcoming iPad Pro is enough to handle new stylus tricks, and that’s the only answer I can come up with.
