Jones had claimed the shooting that claimed the lives of 20 students and six employees was a hoax and that it took place in Afghanistan. He has also been sued by SandyHook families for defamation.

Former US President Barack Obama had met world leaders at the World leadership conference in Peru in 2016 after Donald Trump won the presidential election. Obama’s main message was “You need to wait and see”, Ben Rhodes, his deputy national security adviser, said. “This time around, I think all these countries have their own theory of how they’re going to deal with Trump,” Rhodes added.
