FBI Director will quit at end of Biden administration
Why the FBI should be pursuing a mission: Trump’s criticism of Wray in his first sit-down interview with Meet the Press
The FBI director said he would step down at the end of the Biden administration, with two years left on his term in office.
The FBI shared with reporters an excerpt of a speech he gave at an FBI town hall where he stated that his goal was to keep the focus on his mission. The values and principles that are so important to how we do our work should not be dragged deeper into the battle, in my opinion.
Trump most recently criticized Wray during his first sit-down broadcast interview since being elected to a second term in the White House. He pointed out that the FBI’s work searching Mar-a-Lago wasn’t doing enough to address crime when he was asked on NBC’s Meet the Press if he’d fire him when he gets into office.
Trump was upset that Wray speculated that Trump’s bloodied ear could be the result of a bullet, when in fact he was injured from a shot to the head. The FBI later confirmed it was a bullet.
Where’s the metal coming from? Does it come from heaven or is it coming from somewhere else? I don’t think so,” Trump said in the NBC interview. I have a lot of respect for the FBI, but the FBI’s respect has gone way down over the last number of years.

The bureau needs a stable transition of leadership in order for it to be safe for the citizens, according to the association’s president. The role of the rank-and-file Special Agents is important to the mission.
Some of Trump’s conservative advisers have suggested trying to overhaul the FBI to make its director accountable to more junior officials inside the Justice Department with more political control.

On Faith, Faith and Faith: Amanda Lopez, Our Lady of Guadalupe, a Mexican-American Photographer and Puerto Rican
A religious figure depicting hope and protection for Latino people in the U.S. and abroad is Our Lady of Guadalupe. She’s more of a powerful symbol of home for photographer Amanda Lopez. Lopez attended a church named Our Lady of Guadalupe growing up and was surrounded by Guadalupe’s image. She was shaped by her family’s Catholic views. She began to question her thoughts about what makes a good woman. She initially thought it meant you had to be humble, respectful and go with the status quo, but then felt uncomfortable with that idea.
