The presidential candidate wants to put the primaries in New Hampshire to bed

New Hampshire is Hard to Vote For: Jon McHenry, J.D. Haley, D.C. Miller, E.R. DeSantis and the Republican-Democrat-Congress Correspondence

“They could be absolutely disgusted with their choices by Tuesday and say it doesn’t matter who they pick,” said McHenry, who grew up in New Hampshire. “Or they could say, ‘I’ve absolutely had it with Donald Trump and I’m going to, you know, to walk through a blizzard in my bare feet to get to the polls and vote that day.’ “

Jon McHenry, a Republican Pollster with North Star Opinion Research, said that New Hampshire is hard to predict because no one knows who is going to vote.

Miller said that it was “whether it be close to the population centers, whether it be more rural, whether it be college educated, whether it be those who do not have college degrees.” President Trump did a great job for every possible demographic.

He says Haley has an uphill climb, but she could win. She needs to gets the lion’s share of supporters for Chris Christie – the top Trump critic who dropped out of the race, Merrill said.

A veteran Republican strategist in New Hampshire said it’s the Trump and Haley show this week. “Unlike Iowa, there’s a real contest going on here, and it’s not a contest between second and third place.”

Trump has continued to attack Haley for proposing cuts to Social Security and the super PAC backing him is attacking her on immigration with an ad it has put up in New Hampshire.

He said Haley is counting on the Democrats and liberals to get into the Republican primary because they have changed party affiliations.

Former President Donald Trump has a double digit lead in New Hampshire polls, but the former UN Ambassador has risen in the polls. After his second place finish in Iowa, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is still in the race, but with far less of a focus on New Hampshire.

“If you want to defend your honor, and if you want to defeat the radical left Democrats and save America, you must vote for your favorite president of all time, Donald J. Trump,” he told cheering supporters in Atkinson, New Hampshire.

Former President Donald Trump has a big event Friday in Concord, N.H., his third event in a week-long sprint of almost back-to-back rallies ahead of the state’s decisive Tuesday primary.

Since Iowa’s caucuses, Trump has visited the Granite State almost every night. He is counting on New Hampshire’s voters to help him in the general election.

Even though Biden’s unfavorable ratings are high, his approval ratings are worse than Trump’s.

Some strategists believe that Biden won in 2020 because of his opposition to Trump. They say Biden needs to focus his reelection ads more on Trump — as well as on abortion rights because this is the first presidential election since the Dobbs decision.

With $1.7 million in ads, the fund is focusing on Haley being the strongest candidate against Biden. It might be a tougher sell than the former governor would like on her home turf.

In the GOP primary in South Carolina, the electorate is conservative and similar to those in Iowa. In Iowa entrance polls, voters who thought beating Biden was the candidate quality that mattered most to them voted for Trump.

How Did Joe Biden Find His Way? Finding a Way for President Biden in New Hampshire and Describing a Candidate in South Carolina

“I’m something of an expert on illusive creatures. I challenged myself to find President Biden in New Hampshire during the primary season. I thought I was good at hiding. So I asked around, have you seen Joe? I mean, how can you have tens of thousands of people looking for you all the time and not one person finds you. I’ve looked for him everywhere. Even the Democratic primary debate. I continued to see this guy, Dean Phillips, who’s everywhere.

We Deserve Better, the pro-Phillips super political action committee, accuses the DNC and the media of a conspiracy against him and he is wondering if there is a conspiracy against him.

The Democratic National Committee, at President Biden’s urging, demoted New Hampshire this year to try to promote South Carolina, a state with a sizable percentage of Black voters, to diversify the early primary state lineup.

New Hampshire hasn’t gone quietly andPhillips is hoping he can exploit that to his advantage and get support for a presidential campaign. With the calendar shakeup, Biden won’t even be on the ballot. The polls show that Biden is more popular in the polls than any other candidate.

Meanwhile, Biden is running a Spanish-language ad in Arizona contrasting Biden and Trump, a veterans health care ad in Michigan, another in Arizona and Nevada about small businesses and another in Georgia and Nevada about prescription drug costs and insulin.

The New York Times reported that the principal super PAC supporting DeSantis, Never Back Down, has begun laying off staff. While DeSantis was briefly in New Hampshire this week, his campaign is pivoting this weekend to South Carolina, which votes on Feb. 24.

“Americans were promised to secure retirement. Nikki Haley’s plan ends that. … Haley’s plan cut social security benefits for 82% of Americans. Trump will not allow that to happen.

“I actually supported Trump in the last election, and I think he was the right president at that point in time, but this election, I’m for Nikki Haley. I like her experience, her track record of being the governor and her strength abroad. She’s for strong borders and freedom. Nikki Haley is exactly the type of leader America needs today.”

Since Iowa, a new group has popped up to support Haley. The group has spent almost $1 million in just a few days, featuring a pair of ads. One shows several regular people saying why they’re supporting Haley.

New Hampshire has taken a bit of a back seat to Iowa in the ad-spending race, but still $76 million has gone into ads trying to reach New Hampshire voters. Iowa had the most with $124 million.

Chris Sununu, the popular Republican governor of New Hampshire, will be the pitch man for SFA Fund Inc., which has spent $23 million in New Hampshire.
