Israel claims that 5 Hamas military leaders have been killed

The destruction of the northern brigade of Hamas by Israel’s aggression on the group hid in the Beit Lahia tunnel

The northern brigade, Hamas’s second largest, has been damaged, according to the Israeli military. The Israeli military said that it inflicted damage to battalions from the Gaza City brigade.

The photo was released by the Israeli military. The army said the photo was taken in a tunnel.

On Wednesday, the prime minister said on the X platform his forces were encircling the house of Sinwar. It will be a matter of time before we reach him, even though he can escape.

Since then, Israel has declared war on Hamas with the intent of destroying the organization. It has placed Gaza, which the group has controlled since 2007, under siege, cutting civilians off from regular supplies of food and fuel, and subjected the strip to a deadly bombing campaign.

At one point, Mr. Sinwar and Mr. Deif were thought to be in Khan Youns, the largest city in southern Gaza, which is engaged in heated urban combat between Hamas and the army.

Israeli military commanders this week estimated they had killed several thousand Hamas fighters since the war began. Israeli officials said there were assumptions about how many Hamas fighters had been killed, and whether a commander would be killed if Israeli troops wiped out a Hamas battalion. Confirmation that a commander had been killed could take days to arrive, officials said, so the estimate was an “evolving reality.”

At least three of the men in the picture were killed, including the northern Gaza military leader known as Abu Anas, and his deputy, Wael Rajab. Another was Rafet Salman, a Hamas battalion commander. The spokesman for the Israeli military said that its forces had attacked the underground site where Mr. al-Ghandour was hiding.

The Israeli military said that a rare picture of the Hamas leadership was taken while the group hid in a tunnel in the northern Gaza city of Beit Lahia.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Hamas was intent on tearing us apart and they were now tearing it apart. Netanyahu is under pressure to broker another truce that would allow for more exchanges, or to continue with his campaign against Hamas.

Israel attacked the Hamas leadership after the group launched an attack on southern Israel.

The picture was analysed by an Israeli intelligence unit and it wasn’t clear who took the picture. Some of the photograph’s details, including its exact date and location, could not be immediately independently verified.
