There is a fact-checking done in the race between Haley and DeSantis

Jinko Solar vs. the Jacksonville City Council: Investigation of a Wall-Closure involving a Solar Panel Company

If the state reduced the income tax rate from 7 percent to 5 percent and made other changes to the transportation department, Ms. Haley would support a gas tax increase.

Nikki Haley promised South Carolina that she would never support increasing taxes on gas. She broke her promise almost immediately, as stated in a post on X last week.

“DeSantis gave millions to Chinese companies. DeSantis even voted to fast-track Obama’s Chinese trade deals.”— A pro-Haley super PAC, SFA Fund Inc., in an ad

The company tax incentives to expand was dropped by the Jacksonville City Council in June. A JinkoSolar representative said in a statement that the company still planned to pursue its $50 million expansion.

Federal officials have not provided any details of the inquiry but it appears to be related to a lot of concerns. The New York Times reports that Jinko Solar may have overstated the source of some imports of materials from the Uyghur region of China, leading to an incorrect duty rate. JinkoSolar said that its products have been reviewed and released by US customs officials.

Regarding the company raided by the Homeland Security Department, Ms. Haley was referring to a solar panel company, JinkoSolar, based in China. Homeland security officials in May executed search warrants at its factory in Jacksonville, Fla., and an office in California.

Business Florida: From Cirrus to Key Orlando Airport and Kissimmee, Fla., and the State of South Carolina in the DeSantis Era

In October last year, Cirrus Aircraft — which was acquired in 2011 by a Chinese state-owned company that makes military aircraft — announced it had expanded locations at the Orlando Executive Airport and Kissimmee Gateway Airport. The first location provides aircraft sales and concierge flight training while the other provides aircraft maintenance and management. The Navy training systems center is less than 10 miles from theOrlando complex.

This needs to be understood. The board chairs of the enterprise Florida organization were previously held by Mr. DeSantis. The governor signed legislation earlier this year that consolidated the organization’s work into what is now the state’s Commerce Department.

Congress passed the trade promotion authority bill in 2015, which allowed the president to negotiate trade deals with other countries without having to deal with tariffs. “None of the negotiations that the U.S. conducted with China during the Obama administration fell into this category. Nor did these negotiations result in any trade deals with China during the Obama administration.”

Florida records do show state agencies have spent millions in purchases from the companies, mostly Lexmark, for printers and other products, since Mr. DeSantis took office on Jan. 8, 2019. South Carolina has worked with some of the companies.

The ads that China is campaigning against are the only ones that can stop Communist tyranny: the case of President Biden and China’s Xi

President Biden is meeting China‘s President Xi on Wednesday — and more Americans are concerned with the threat posed by China than at any time in the last 40 years. China has been in a lot of campaign ads recently.

“China’s dictators want to rule the world in Communist tyranny, and we’re the only ones who can stop them,” Haley said, as a narrator said that Haley is the conservative China fears the most.

The ads in the presidential race have cost $18 million and aired more than 50,000 times, according to data from the ad-tracking firm AdImpact and analyzed by NPR.
