The new account tracks the air travel of the Florida governor

Twitter and the January 6th Streak in the Capitol: Musk vs. Sacks after Scott’s Presidential Campaign Announcement

Musk has known the man since they met at a party in Austin, Texas. According to rumors, they are very close with Sacks. Last year, Musk implied that he would back the Florida governor. On Friday, Musk wrote a statement in response to Scott’s campaign announcement.

Popular conservative commentators, like former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, have started moving their content to Twitter. On Tuesday, Axios reported that The Daily Wire was bringing all of its podcasts over to the platform by the end of this month.

Musk has received a lot of support from Republicans who have accused the social media companies of wrongfully censoring conservative content and users. The January 6th riot in the US Capitol was banned from mainstream platforms by Trump, who championed these criticisms throughout his presidency. Musk restored Trump’s account after asking his followers for input on the decision after taking over the company. “The people have spoken. Trump will be reinstated,” Musk tweeted at the time.

DeSantis, Musk, and Twitter Spaces: Announcing a High-Redshift Jet for the GOLF of the House of Representatives

The announcement will take place during a Twitter Spaces event on Wednesday at 6PM ET, and David Sacks, former PayPal product leader and tech investor, will reportedly moderate the discussion. Shortly after, the DeSantis campaign is expected to put out a formal campaign launch video before taking to the campaign trail after Memorial Day.

Lindsey Curnutte, a DeSenatis spokesperson, confirmed the event in an email to The Verge Tuesday. Twitter responded to a request for comment Tuesday with the company’s customary poop emoji auto-reply.

A version of the account is back up but provides tracking information on Musk’s jet with a 24-hour delay. The page following DeSantis’s jet is also delayed by one day.

In December the account that was created to watch Musk’s jet was stopped because the account posed a personal safety risk.

Sweeney told NPR that he doesn’t have a specific goal in mind for the aircraft, other than to “share the information and make it available to everybody that might be interested.”

It’s not uncommon for governors — especially those in large states — to take government-owned planes or helicopters on official business. But DeSantis has been criticized for how he’s used taxpayer-funded aircraft in the past.

Sweeney said he wanted to bring transparency to everyone and to show where the jet was going because of all the other things going on.

He said he had been intending to create an account following Florida’s government jet and eventually got around to it, given the buzz around the expected Republican presidential hopeful.
