The Surface Laptop range doesn’t have as stylish a look as the brand’s other sets, but most people just need a laptop. Most people choose this as the best Surface. Microsoft’s flagship laptop is now under $1,000 and offers 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of SSD storage. It’s worth bearing in mind, though, that Microsoft has a Surface hardware event this week where we could see a successor.
The cost of gaming laptops can look pretty expensive due to the consoles like the Xbox Series S. They are the only option if you want a great display in a portable package. If you want a cheap laptop with some added flexibility, this 14-inch Pavilion machine from HP is an appealing option. With this sale’s discount, you get a strong 11th-Gen Intel Core i5, 8 GB of RAM, and a 256-GB SSD. It’s a good combo for productivity users, such as students. The 360-hinge makes watching videos on this laptop a bit more comfortable too.
Chromebooks may be slated as devices for light web work, but there are plenty of folks who’ll want to push them hard. The IdeaPad Flex 5i is the best option for a powerful ChromeOS powerhouse. The Intel Core i3 and 8 GB of RAM are more than enough to get a lot of performance from a Chromebook, with options for lower-powered Celeron chips and often 4 GB RAM. The display also has an anti-glare finish.

Not only is the case slim and the keys pleasing to type on, but the keyboard can also be removed when you don’t need it, keeping the iPad Pro’s supreme portability intact.

If you’re in the market for a new smartphone, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better deal than this. The Pixel 6 Pro is also discounted to $649 ($250 off) if you want a bigger device and better cameras.
This is the lowest price we’ve ever seen on the S22 Ultra (9/10, WIRED Recommends). This device has an S Pen built in, so it’s great for doodling or writing notes. It also has a zoom camera so you can take pictures that are very sharp from far away.
A fortune is how much it costs. But it folds! It’s really nice if you have an extra screen real estate. Android 12L also makes life on a bigger screen easier thanks to its improved multitasking. The battery life is good, and you get a bright, smooth screen—no crease on the fold.
When the phone is unfolded and folded it looks like a normal phone, but it will slip into some small pockets. It is nearly like a StarTak, but with a real screen. The battery won’t last you through the day. Still, if you’ve been wanting a folding phone, this deal is the cheapest we’ve seen.
This phone is fast, has a bright 120-Hz screen refresh rate, and has a good software support window. Its cameras are better than those of the ones on the S22 and the Pixel 6. It’s worth noting that this is still more expensive than the newly-announced Google Pixel 7.
TVs of this high caliber (8/10, WIRED Recommends) don’t come cheap, but this is a pretty significant discount for one of the best TVs you can buy for bright rooms. If you have a lot of windows in your home, this could be the move. The 120 hertz refresh rate makes it ideal for video game players to get the most out of their consoles.

The combo also has a variety of options to get the right vibe. The addition of a subwoofer makes this ideal for when you want big sound, whether it’s a house party or your fave action flick.
Sennheiser’s Momentum Wireless 4 is the Best Choice for a Long-Term, Ultra-High-Energy Noise-Canceling Headset
If you are looking for a pair of noise-canceling headphones that will last you a long time, the Sennheiser’s Momentum Wireless 4 is your best option. These headphones are capable of lasting up to 60 hours on a single charge. They sound good and are similar to the Sony noise-canceling headphones. They don’t have physical controls, but still offer better noise-cancellation than rivals like Bose’s or Sony’s.
If you’re after the best overall headphones, then stick with Sony. The noise cancellation in the WH-1000XM5 is great, and they’re just plain comfortable to wear.
By comparison, the Apple AirPods Pro and Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro both offer fast pairing and easy switching between devices made by the same company. The touch controls on the EarFun Air were simply less useful than either of the more expensive Apple and Samsung options we tested them against — but we found that we could still very easily control the sound through our phones. We wouldn’t mind having a companion app that would allow us to alter the sound, but for half the price of the competitors, we really couldn’t complain.
While the LaCie Rugged SSD ($496) is our top pick for a rugged drive in our Best Portable SSD guide, the T7 Shield is our favorite alternative, and it’s far cheaper right now. It’ll bat away dust and water with an IP65 rating and is rated to survive drops up to 9.8 feet. If you want to spend more or less, there are other sizes to choose from.

Multitaskers will find Microsoft’s Surface Headphones 2 to be great due to their multipoint Bluetooth support and ability to pair them with multiple devices and switch between them with ease. The headphones also offer intuitive dial controls for both volume and noise cancellation, as well as improved sound quality and battery life over their predecessor. While Microsoft’s noise-canceling tech isn’t quite as effective as Bose’s and Sony’s, the Surface Headphones 2 still adequately silence outside noises so you can focus.
The Beats Studio 3 has an Apple W1 chip that they can connect to and switch between any Apple devices you own. 3.5mm wired and wireless connections are supported by the headphones.
A Comparison of EarFun Air vs Next-to-Leading-Rank Budget Earbudgets: Sound Quality, Comfort, and Battery Life
All of the EarFun earbuds we tested consistently ranked among some of our favorite budget earbuds, but we think the slight differences in sound quality and comfort make the other models a better option.
For most people, the high-quality sound is probably a big enough selling point, but in case you’re looking for extras, the EarFun Air feature plenty. The IPX7 waterproof rating means they can be submerged into about 1 meter of water for about 30 minutes. We don’t often see waterproofing on devices this cheap, so of course, this came as a huge plus and one we gladly accepted. In terms of practical use cases, this means you can wear them in light rain or even while working out. You don’t have to worry about washing off these earbuds under the faucet. It’s not the flagship feature, but we think it works as a great insurance policy for protecting your investment.
The EarFun Air earbuds have long battery life, seven hours of play time, and an extra 28 hours in the case, despite the fact that they don’t have a microphone. Although we were skeptical they’d last as long as the company promised, our weeks of testing proved these claims to be true. The EarFun Air had a battery life that lasted the full duration of their marketing campaign. EarFun Air stretched an hour more than the next closest and was more affordable than the most affordable option in the group.

Which earbuds are better than the Jabra Elite 3? Review of the JLab Audio Go Air in every Popular Music Genre and Why Is Them Better?
It’s worth the savings to press a few additional buttons during the setup, even if you won’t be able to tell the difference in audio and performance.
The sound quality is the most important aspect to consider when buying earbuds for a budget. We used a wide range of tracks to ensure that we tested just about every popular musical genre. Classical was focused on the open space of popular sonatas and was included in our list, along with classic rock with soaring guitars and pop and electronic testing out the bass. We wore each of the headphones for hours at a time to get a better feeling for how they fit. We also did our best to analyze each device’s controls, and how reliable and customizable they were.
The Jabra Elite 3 are an extremely close contender to one of our top spots, and if we were going by looks alone, they’d be the clear winner. The low-profile design and reliable physical controls of the buds mimic what makes a more expensive buds great. The lack of active noise cancellation and wireless charging renders them back against the EarFun Air Pro 3 in terms of overall value.
We want you to find a worse pair of earbuds. Let’s start with the case, which doesn’t even come with a lid. Yes, you read that right. The JLab Audio Go Air use magnets to connect the earbuds to the charging case, with the assumption that you’ll never drop or jolt them hard enough to knock them out. We should be clear: We never dropped or lost the earbuds during our testing period, but it frankly seems like a disaster waiting to happen.
Let’s assume you don’t drop them and you want to set them up with your phone. Well, good luck! We had to reconnect these headphones several times just to get them working properly. The setup was turned into a five-minute operation. When they finally talked, we were disappointed to know that it was all just for laughs. The bad guy in the book was ruined by these earbuds. There was a complete lack of soundspace, depth and range. We don’t think we have ever heard anything worse than these earbuds. No matter what you do, please avoid these earbuds. You deserve better.
For all of the marketing and celebrity endorsements that go into Skullcandy headphones, you’d think they’d provide better-sounding earbuds. Unfortunately, the Skullcandy Sesh earbuds were a disappointment. Usually it’s easy to justify the lack of performance because Skullcandy headphones typically look cool, but these earbuds are so small and hard to see that they’re far from a fashion statement.
The sound was fine — not terrible — but lacked bass on some of our favorite dance and disco songs. The highs were also a little too high, creating an overall lack of balance in sound quality. Adding bad battery life and a bad microphone will leave you with yet another pair of earbuds for the clearance rack.
The voices have mostly been correct so far. Wireless headphones are worse than their wired counterparts. It has led many people to tote around cumbersome wired headphones, portable headphones, and various accessories to get the best sound on the go.
I’ve spent a few months with the French audiophile brand’s superb noise-canceling over-ears, and they’ve become my favorite pair in recent memory. The magnesium and aluminum cans have design similarities and driver designs of a high-end wired headphones but also include a cutting-edge digital-to-analog conversion and the most comfortable earpads I have ever worn.
Say it to me, Foh-Cal Bat-hees. This pair of expensive noise-canceling headphones, named after a spherical submersible from last century, look like something you’d pull from Poseidon’s desk. Spherical cutouts of varying shapes and sizes circle the tornado-shaped Focal “F” in the middle of each earcup, like a net surrounding a perilous whirlpool.
Thankfully there are no touch controls that are hard on new musical divers. On the bottom of the right earcup, you’ll find a power switch that lets you pick between off, on, and DAC mode (more on this later), as well as a simple three-button setup for volume up, down, and play/pause (long press for BT pairing). On the left earcup there is a button that lets you pick between ANC modes. I love the bezel-like wheel on the Airpods Max for novelty, but I wish all headphones were this easy to operate.
You look like Tony Stark if you turn them on and there is a whiteLED on each side. If you don’t want everyone to know how much you spent on headphones, you can turn off the lights and adjust the ANC in the app.
It doesn’t make sense for devices like this to be enjoyed by other people, they’re for rich people to maintain their lifestyles outside of listening situations. Are they comfortable?
