The entire library of the show, as well as the 30 new episodes for seasons 24, 25, and 26 were intended to be brought on by the deal. However, Warner Bros. Discovery alleges it didn’t get what it paid for. South Park Digital Studios did not deliver on its promise of 10 new episodes each season and charged the company extra for the 50-minute Pandemic Special.
Nearly all “South Park” episodes air first on Paramount-owned Comedy Central. The creators of “South Park” auctioned off streaming rights to the first 23 seasons of the show.

A US court on Tuesday put on hold Kroger’s proposed merger with Albertsons to create the country’s biggest grocery store chain, Safeway. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) had objected to the deal over concerns that it would lead to higher prices and fewer choices for shoppers. Safeway and Vons are owned by Albertsons, which also owns Fred Meyer and King Soopers.

GM CEO Mary Barra said deploying and maintaining a robotaxi fleet is both too expensive and far away from the manufacturer’s core business of building and selling cars.

Amazon announced some of its own Nova models
Amazon Web Services CEO Matt Garman, during the company’s Re:Invent conference, revealed Amazon is building a supercomputer called ‘Rainer’ that will feature hundreds of thousands of Amazon’s latest AI training chips. The supercomputer is expected to be the world’s biggest reported AI machine when finished. Amazon also announced the launch of Nova Canvas, an image generation model, and Amazon Nova Reel, a video generation model.
The top consumer watchdog in the US wants to fight data brokers
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) in the US is seeking comment on how to ensure “appropriate” access to Americans’ personal and financial information by data brokers after recent hacks. CFPB’s proposal aims to treat data brokers like credit reporting agencies when they deal in sensitive data. It would require data brokers to obtain “separate, explicit authorisation” before acquiring or sharing people’s credit information.
