Panasonic TVs are back in the US for the first time in a decade
The Panasonic Z95A and W95A: LCD, IPS, LEDs, MicroLEDs, and MiniLEDs for Consumers with Budget
Outside the US, Panasonic has remained a global leader in the OLED era. Rumors about a stateside return have been swirling for nearly as long as the brand has been away, but a global partnership with Amazon announced at CES 2024 kicked things into high gear. The flagship Z95A and the core Z85A, as well as the W95A flagship mini LED TV, are all powered by the Amazon Fire TV smart interface.
The 65-inch Z95A is more expensive than the 55 inch Z85A, but it’s still an option for Panasonic fans on a budget.
The Z95A was one of the first to be reviewed when it came out in January, and now is considered one of the best TVs you can buy in the year 2024 due to its color accuracy, shadow detailing, and extensive support for the most popular formats.
Those without sound bars may find the Z95A appealing. The company leveraged its Technics audio brand to tune the TV, which features speakers that fire forward, upward, and to the sides, in addition to a built-in subwoofer. You can use software tricks to direct the audio on the TV to a specific location.
There are two models in the small lineup, both of which include Mini LEDs. The company stopped selling its TVs in the US in 2016, three years after ending production of its well-regarded plasma screens. The company is now bringing its TVs back to meet the demands of “consumers seeking the highest possible picture quality.”
All three of Panasonic’s models are still available in limited sizes, as the company begins to compete against other companies. What you need to know is here.
