Trump tried out attack lines on Harris

Kamala Harris: I Wanna Be Afraid of You and I Know He’s a Democrat, Not a Candidate

He said something happened to him after he was shot. I became nice. People like these are very dangerous when you’re dealing with them. You shouldn’t be nice. If you do not mind, I’m not going to be nice.

Harris has never shied away from her attacks. In her first major speech as the likely nominee on Tuesday, Harris boasted of her background as a prosecutor and said that experience would come in handy against Trump.

“I took on perpetrators of all kinds — predators who abused women, fraudsters who ripped off consumers, cheaters who broke the rules for their own gain,” she said in Wisconsin. “So hear me when I say, I know Donald Trump’s type.”

“You’ve been terrible at everything you’ve done,” he said, as though speaking to her directly. “You’re ultra liberal. We don’t want you here. We don’t want you near us. Kamala. You’re fired.

The Palestinian War in Gaza: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu meets with the House of Representatives at the Joint Meeting of the U.S. Senate and Senate

The visit also reflects the importance Trump is putting on North Carolina, a state he won twice. The Democrats see an opportunity to win in 2020, as they know the margin was so close.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu can expect a mixed reception today when he’s scheduled to speak at a joint meeting of U.S. Congress. Republicans strongly support Netanyahu and Israel in the war in Gaza. But Democrats are increasingly critical, with President Biden calling for a cease-fire. There were about 200 people arrested after they staged a protest against the war in Gaza on Capitol Hill. Netanyahu believes that Hamas must be destroyed in Gaza, which will be the main theme of his speech.

The Campaign Trail to the White House: On the First Day of the 2020 Campaign, Harris‘s Role as a Black Sorority Candidate

With roughly 100 days until the 2024 election, Harris is aiming to define herself on the campaign trail. She heads to Indianapolis today to speak to a Black sorority. She was a presidential candidate yesterday. A crowd of 3,000 people in Milwaukee chanted her name as she walked out to Beyblades song “Freedom”. The high interest led to the relocation of the campaign event to a bigger venue.

Vice President Harris has the opportunity to try and win over a significant number of voters who now say they are undecided, according to a new NPR poll. The poll shows that Harris and Trump are tied, but the number of undecideds is up from a week ago.

The White House said yesterday that the Secret Service director had resigned. She faced bipartisan criticism for not fully answering their questions about the assassination attempt on Trump after she testified before the House Oversight Committee.

Why Do We Live in the Present? The Emotional Link Between Populous Music, Climate Change, and Drifting Permafrost

Joel Clement spent seven years at the Interior Department working on policies meant to help Alaskan communities that are threatened by thawing permafrost and rising sea levels. During the Obama administration, his work was moving forward. When Trump took over, Clement was reassigned as part of a government-wide effort to stop working on climate change. Clement and others in the scientific community became whistleblowers on what they considered to be the Trump administration’s interference andcensorship of science. Many scientists are worried that interference will be worse in a second Trump term. Here’s why:

After explaining our emotional link to popular music, a PhD student made a different discovery. Her find: Today’s most popular tunes are much simpler than hits from decades ago. Over the course of time, the vocals have gotten less sophisticated. But that doesn’t mean today’s hits lack complexity.
