Shattered Netanyahu’s Legacy was caused by the war
The Israeli War in the Gaza Strip: The Case for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his Coalition Partners to Obey the Israelis’ Controversy
The moment Israel’s devastating war in the Gaza Strip ends, the unfinished conflict within Israel over its future will begin again. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his coalition partners are aware of this. That may be, in part, why they have set the aim of “total victory” as their ultimate objective, and why they refuse a deal that would end fighting in exchange for hostages returning to their families. This is the longest war since Israel’s war of independence.
A poll showed that only 15 percent of Israelis wanted him to remain in office after the war. Most Israelis said in a recent poll that they did not trust Mr. Netanyahu when it came to the war. His support for his party has plummeted.
