Someday, your entire life will be chronicled by this Wearable Artificial Intelligence Notetaker

The Plaud Note Voice Recorder: What Does It Tell Us About the Artificial Intelligence Boom and How Does It Impact Human Lives?

Plaud’s first product, the Note voice recorder, is one of the better AI voice note tools on the market. Attach the Note to the back of your cell phone and record voice notes and phone calls and have it transcribed and summarized. Plaud’s app is a little messy but the basic tech works well. Plaud hopes that by moving the device out of your pocket and onto your body, you will have more reasons to use it.

AI wearables are everywhere right now and largely fall into one of two categories. There are the companionship devices, like Friend, meant to just provide something to hang with and talk to. Limitless is a productivity device designed to be useful more than delightful.

The NotePin is free for the most basic uses, and Plaud gives away its artificial intelligence features for free if you use them for more advanced things. Apparently anyone who wants to buy this thing will want the pro features. The software will ultimately be what matters: the AI boom seems to mean many more people will start recording much more of their lives, and it’ll be up to Plaud and its competition to figure out what to do with all that information. Perfect memory is an enticing thing, but it’s an awfully hard one to get right.

Recording Everyday Things You Need to Know (or Not) About: A Freely Available Pro Plan for Up to 300 Minutes of Audio

You can remember the name of the dog food your doctor told you to feed your pet, or keep a record of all the people you meet. Or a wristband. Something like a pin.

You can record up to 300 minutes of audio per month. To record more than that, you can pay a $79 annual fee for the pro plan that gets you 1,200 minutes per month and additional features like labels that identify different speakers in a transcription.
