PrivacyPro will help in the event a user’s identity gets stolen, according to DuckDuckGo. There will be a partnership with identity theft protection company. The service appears to be a 24/7 concierge for identity theft, helping users with tasks like cancelling and replacing important documents, informing health insurance providers of any fraudulent claims, freezing their credit report, and more.
DuckDuckGo has VPN servers in the US, Europe, and Canada, and users can choose from whichever location they prefer. The company says it plans to add more over time.

The system works, and some of the engineering efforts that went into it, were shown to the public. On the surface, the removal tool is straightforward: You access it through the company’s browser and enter some information about yourself, such as your name, year of birth, and any addresses. Result links to you that were linked to 53 data broker websites were requested to be wiped. (All 53 data brokers included have opt-out schemes that allow people to make requests.) When the dashboard shows an update about what has been removed, it should let you know if a new record has been added.
