Following his own Vegas residency, which ran from summer 2022 through last December, his halftime set at this year’s Super Bowl will also launch a new album called Coming Home, his first solo record in more than seven years. You can watch his concert, which is home of the “watch this” meme.
Before the game: Country music star Reba McEntire will sing the national anthem, Oscar nominee Andra Day will perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” and Post Malone will sing “America the Beautiful.”
Here for the commercials, the half time show and the food? We will keep you up to date on what’s happening at the game, in the stands, in the suites, at watch parties and around the country.
Whether you’re curious, or you’re looking to impress your friends at your Super Bowl gathering, here are a few things that make this year’s game unique:
On Sunday the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs will take on the San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas for Super Bowl 58. Four years ago, the 49ers and the Chiefs faced off, with Kansas City becoming champion for the first time in 50 years. San Francisco last won in 1995 against the San Diego Chargers.
The overtime rules for the playoffs were changed by the NFL. The team that scored the first goal in overtime would win. Both teams will have a chance to take possession of the ball.
“The Niners had a good time,” Mahomes said during the championship banquet at the Hilton Head Island, Flavord Kansas City
“It was a microcosm of our whole season,” Mahomes said during the trophy presentation. “I’m just proud of the guys that kept believing. I’m proud of the coaches for calling those plays that led to the touchdown in the end.
The Niners took the pace of the game to a new level. Patrick Mahomes threw an interception on the Chief’s first possession of the second half. But Kansas City began to slowly find its offensive footing and grabbed its first lead of the game at 13-10 in the third quarter. From then on, the game settled into a tense match of back-and-forth.
